When disaster strikes

I don't know what's going on, but the weather has become very unpredictable lately and it's disturbing. Just this morning on the ABC morning news, they're predicting a 10-ft snow in California. Snow? California? In Florida, farmers are trying very hard to harvest as many citrus fruits as they can because the sudden drop in temperature is posing a threat to the crops. More cases of tornadoes have been reported. Just recently we experienced a winter storm in the midwest, paralyzing some cities when the power went down.

What can we do in situations like these? We can't prevent natural disasters but we can be prepared for it at the very least. Make sure you have ample food and water to last for several days. Check your medical supplies. Battery operated radio. Flashlights. Blankets. More importantly, stay home unless an evacuation order is in place.
