Slumdog
I wondered what all the fuzz was about Slumdog Millionaire at the Oscars. I didn't care about the reviews nor the fact that it won 8 out of 10 Oscar nominations. I didn't give it a chance....until....hubby rented the DVD. It's a really good movie. Realistic. Raw. Moving. It even reminded me of my good old Lupang Hinirang, the Philippines. Definitely Oscar worthy.
Anyway, have a hair appointment this afternoon. I'm glad I'm seeing my regular hair stylist this time. The last time I was there, I had to settle for someone else because my stylist was on leave and my hair emergency couldn't wait. I should have waited. Not that the "replacement" didn't do a good job, it's just that I thought she was an AIRHEAD. She talked non-stop and none of what she said made sense. She offered me discount on Tanning products and tanning beds! Can you imagine??? It's like offering a diet pill to a skinny woman. Do I look like I need a tan??? I politely declined and told her I was born with a tan.
On another note, I am currently the top sales person on ID alert product in the whole Bancorp (from the midwest to as far South as Florida), can you imagine? I am getting recognized, and it's getting a little scary. I don't like the attention, but I'm trying to enjoy my 15 minutes.
Have a happy weekend everyone!!!!

I haven't had the chance to see the movie yet. Although I assumed I would enjoy it since it's more of an Indie film. Very funny btw....diet pills for a skinny person.
Not really sure what Bancorp is, suppose I could Google it....just didn't :P In any case, congratulations. Don't be so modest, I'm sure your "15 min. of fame" is well deserved =)
If you still keep in touch with Christiana (sorry if misspelled), could I get her email or could you pass along mine to her. I would appreciate it. I'll be posting updated photos on myspace within a week. Take care and God bless.
Peace, love, and Asian power :P

Hello Rhada,
Gusto ko rin ngang panoorin yan e. Kaya lang di ko mahanap. Wala akong tiyagang maghanap ng movies sa net ngayon e. May pinagkakaabalahan. :) Pero meron nga talaga sa YouTube? Didn't look for it there, kasi naman hahanapin mo pa yong karugtong. :)
Hintayin ko na rin na ipalabas sa TV, gaya-gaya kay cheh. :)
Anyway, have a great Holy Week!
