Update

I've always considered myself as the human compass. My navigation skills are exceptional. I pride myself in finding my way in and out of a totally unfamiliar territory. And I'm not afraid to pull over and ask for directions when lost. That's why when we bought the new car, Navigation system was out of the question. I mean, what am I, S-t-u-p-i-d??? I can find my way around, yah know.... I don't need to spend hundreds of dollars for something I don't need.

But, this is our last summer here in Germany and we plan on taking little trips here and there. And if you want to hear hubby & I argue, just sit with us in a car. Truth is, I feel sorry for the guy. I'm such a control freak and I just can't keep my mouth shut when he's on the wheel. I'm probably the worst backseat driver in the whole entire world. So we did ourselves a favor and bought this new toy . It's nice, I tell you. Best part is, it came with US/North America disc as well.

We'll be in Ramstein Air Force base tomorrow for Alexis' European Spelling Bee competition. By the way, I found out she'll be competing against 8th graders from all of Europe as well. Geez, it'll be like David & Goliath. Imagine a 4th grader, 9 yr old girl going against a bunch of teenage middle schoolers. I haven't told her yet because I didn't want to alarm her. Next week, we're headed to Tropical Islands near Berlin. Easter break will be spent touring Trier, Luxemburg, and Brussels. Ahhh, there's just so many things to do but very little time left.

anyways...

i've been your passenger once. but like you said before...your fingernails were digging into your seat trying to control your control freak self. hehe. plus, it wasn't a long drive...i guess that's why i didn't really hear much bickering from you two (or did i fall asleep sometime in between leaving the parking lot and getting to our destination??) lolz

is that toy really nice, for real? J hates asking for directions too. and even though he knows i can barely speak deutsch, he normally sends me asking anyone (ONCE he comes to his senses and starts believing it's REALLY time to stop and start asking) it'd be a nice thing to have. especially if it does come with CD for both Europe and US.

yeah, you'll like Lux...esp if you're into History. (though i really can't picture you as such hehe) i heard brussels is nice too. so is trier. enjoy!!!

To Alexis...YAY!!!! YOU CAN DO IT, LEXI! SHOW THEM WHAT YOU GOT!

He doesn't bicker, ako lang hehe.

Maganda yung navigon...very easy to use. nakakaaliw syang paglaruan. Magaganda ang features nya, nakakabilib nga dahil hi-tech talaga, pati speed limits alam nya. You should get one dahil magagamit natin pati sa US.

i'm checking on gps too, waiting for some sale on the net hehe. it's not an option on our new car, kasi naman 2 cars namin, mas easy pag mobile sya di ba.

hey, going places talaga ang Lexi mo ha, goodluck!!

Good luck to Alexis!

im the worst backseat driver too, but i found a solution to that, tinutulugan ko nalang para walang away. kung maligaw, aba e magtanong =)

analyse: I highly recommend the Navigon TS7000T. Nag-long drive kami this weekend and talaga namang very reliable sya. And dahil nga portable, madaling ilipat-lipat sa 2 cars.

Alexis didn't win the European Championship, but she did really well. She was one of the youngest contestants. 'twas a very memorable experience for all of us.

Baligtad naman on my case, palpak akong navigator. Tipong kelangan 5 more times na punta pa bago ko ma gets the lugar. And take note, mega surf ko pa yun dapat sa mapquest ahaha!

Chas: yes, it's really nice. Well worth the money. Lexi didn't win, but we're very proud of her. She did well!

I remember you once told me na hirap ka driving without the navigation system...di ba nga yung SUV mo dati ay may Navi?

kumare, i try to be silent as MUCH as i can..pero pag medyo daredevil na ang dating at lalo't kasama ko mga anak ko---i have to say something (susmio, mala-lata sa nipis ang kaha ng kotseng hapon---wala akong planong maging sardinas hehe)

yups, the SUV had a navi. bad navi skills na ako, bad memory pa bwahaha

I am not a human compass. GPS Navigation was really made for me. Would you believe, I got lost in my own neighborhood twice?!

Neryboso ni woody, akala na-kidnap na ako. Good thing kasama si Yardley (aso namin) he kept me calm! Hahah.

Good luck to Alexis. She's plenty smart so I don't think she'll do too shabby!

Justice: very uneasy ang feeling kapag hindi tayo in control, no?

eden: thanks!

chas: i agree :-). besides, there's always "next time", di ba?

tintin: really? wow! buti na lang kasama mo si Yardley ano? next time, bring a celfone too...para hindi masyado nerbyusin si hubby :)
