JACKMAN ROAD ELEMENTARY SALUTES VETERANS

Amid the throng of veterans and students at an assembly at Jackman Road Elementary School, there was a personal moment: sixth-grader Alexis McCarroll embraces her father, Steve, an Army veteran. The McCarrolls are from Temperance. The moment was part of a program in which the students honored local veterans by singing patriotic songs. Bedford Public Schools' Superintendent Jon White, at lectern, introduced each veteran.

side note: Alexis (student council president) and 3 other student council officers were tasked to hand out tokens of appreciation to several military veterans on this special veteran's day program at her school. See original clip here
