Small business

Who wouldn't want to be their own boss? I guess none of us really wants to remain an employee our entire lives. Problem is, putting up a business is not that easy either. According to the US SBA (small business administration), over 50% of small businesses fail within five years. That is awful. That is why it's not uncommon to see small business for sale signs plastered everywhere.

I do dream of having my own business someday. I've looked up franchise opportunities but to get into an already established franchise is a bit out of my league (financially). I need something that doesn't require a lot of overhead. Any suggestions?
