Kris Aquino

I wasn't a big fan of Kris Aquino. I've always thought of her as shallow, and too talkative without consideration for the feelings of others. Back in the early 90's, I much preferred her cousin Mikee Cojuangco. Mikee seems to be the opposite of what Kris Aquino was. She's quiet, sweet, shy, and sporty. She's an equistrian and she looks real cool in her equestrian apparel.

But through the years, Kris grew on me. I suddenly find myself watching her shows more and more. I still don't think her acting is good, but I can tolerate her more. I like the drama that surrounds her. She's open and she talks when she wants, where she wants. I like her non-stop chatter. I'm now a fan.

Memories

A very dear friend posted a slide show of old pictures on the internet. I had a fun time looking at them, as it brought back a lot of beautiful memories. It's always good to see people who've touched your life at one point in time. And to see them all doing well today is an added bonus.

Yeah, I'm feeling a bit melancholic. Pensive as memories surge my brain. I feel my heart beat. Butterflies flutter in my stomach. To be young and carefree. Those were the days. We've all grown, but the inner child remains.

Hard times

Sarah Geronimo's father was almost kidnapped by a guy inside the compounds of ABS-CBN. If not for the presence of mind of Mr. Geronimo and the immediate response of ABS-CBN's security personnel, God knows what could have happened. Later review of the security cameras revealed that the suspect had planned this for a while. I feel sorry for the suspect's family. TV Patrol showed his kids crying and begging the Geronimos for forgiveness. Neighbors testified he was a good man. He's an airline mechanic by trade and is a responsible family man. I wonder what made him do what he did?

Busy day

Just got done with my doctor's appointment. I finally got the adjustment I needed plus the B-12 shot I should be getting monthly. The doctor's not too happy that I missed last month's shot and that I didn't follow up on some tests I should be getting done. I was a bit embarrassed.

Anyway, the doctor's office was very busy today. They've rearranged the waiting area and replaced the old furniture with modern furniture. I was seen by my regular doctor and a medical intern learning the ropes of Osteopathy. He's young, probably in mid 20's but super cute. He's the definition of tall, dark, and handsome. He asked if I was Filipino, and he said he's half Filipino. His mom is from Quezon city. How cool is that! I can't help but imagine my son growing up to be that strikingly handsome. Cool!

Is it really over?

In less than six weeks, summer vacation is over. The kids keep reminding me, because they are too excited to go back to school. Summer is fun, but other than the big Disney vacation we had, they've been pretty much stuck in the house playing Wii games. It's too hot to be outside this time of year. I'm getting excited too. Pretty soon, we'll have to start shopping for their school needs. That includes school supplies, clothes, and shoes. It's going to be expensive! I have to mentally prepare myself, and my pocketbook as well. Might as well forget my own need, err want of buying Privo
LOL.
