Tim Tim Itim

Hanap. Iniabot sa akin ang CD. Binasa ko ang mga kanta. May APOLOGIZE.

Presenting:

Tim.....Balan....nyahahahaha

Economically speaking

The American economy is hurting really really bad right now. The proposed $700 billion economic bailout was turned down by congress. People are losing jobs at an alarming rate. More and more families are losing their homes. Life is tough nowadays.

Despite it all, what amazes me is how people (job seekers) find ways to reinvent themselves. Professionals learn new skills, away from their true professions. Some even undergo CDL training to try their luck in the field of logistics.

As long as people remain optimistic, things will work out fine. And as long as we don't limit ourselves to our comfort zones, there's still a lot of opportunities out there.

Wine of the month

If Oprah has a book of the month club, I'm not surprised at all to hear about the
wine of the month club for all the wine connoisseurs out there. I'm not a wine drinker, but if I were, I'd be a proud member for sure. And why not? Who wouldn't want to belong to America's leading wine club where you can have two outstanding wines from California's small, family-owned ultra-premium vineyards delivered to your doorsteps?

Feeling sossy, hindi ba???

Buga, Tira, Banat

Ano tawag dun? Kapal ng mukha? Tibay ng dibdib? Tapang ng sikmura? Bilib ako sa tapang ng karakas nyo.

Well, guess what? If I had any extra money to spare, I'd rather spend it on a new pair of MBT shoes than give it to you. Because frankly, I don't think you deserve it.

Goosebumps

Charice's voice not only gave me the goosebumps but also made me cry...bu hu hu.. She really has come a long long way. From local singing contests, to ABS-CBN, to Ellen, to Oprah, to Tuscany with Andrea Bocelli, and now to Madison garden with the awesome Celine Dion.

Celine gave a really nice intro, I wonder how Charice's dad will react though. This video I picked from Youtube is not the greatest, but it'll do. Charice, you made all Filipinos proud!

Anyway, hubby and I found the best and most natural fat burner. It's called a "trampoline". We bought it with the kids in mind, but we ended up enjoying it as well.

Leptovox

Recently, I've come across an online review of Leptovox, a diet pill that not only claims to reduce the waist line but also claims to clear acne and smooth wrinkles (according to it's website). Could this be the perfect diet pill? Is this the answer to every woman's prayer? I don't know. I do agree with the author though. It does sound too good to be true. On the other hand, with the advancement of Science and technology, nothing should come as a surprise at all anymore. I guess I'll never know. I'm too chicken to try.

konting update

Balak namin itong gawing annual family event.

"First I was afraid, I was petrified...", makailang ulit kong naihinga sa lahat ang takot na aking nararamdaman bago ang aming bakasyon. I am deathly afraid of heights and water. Just thinking about being in the middle of the ocean on-board a cruise ship eh nangangalisag na ang balahibo ko at parang hinahalukay na ang aking sikmura. I promised myself to wear the life vest for the whole duration of the trip. Mabuti na ang laging handa..hehe.

We were supposed to sail out of Port Canaveral near Orlando Florida. The day before our trip ay nakatanggap kami ng tawag mula sa Carnival cruise line telling us that we are sailing out of Ft Lauderdale, Miami instead of Canaveral because of Hurricane Fay. Hubby reassured me many many many times na hindi kami isasabak sa alanganin ng cruise line sapagkat malaki ang pananagutan nila kapag nagkataon....sige na nga, tutal eh kasubuan na.

From Orlando, we were bussed by the cruise line to Miami. It was a 3 1/2 hour ride, enough for a short nap. The sight of the ship was amazing. It was HUGE!!! We sailed that night, and to be honest, NI WALA AKONG NARAMDAMAN. I didn't get SEASICK at all! From that point on, napalitan ng excitement ang aking takot.

On-board the ship, talaga namang pampered ka. Our beds were made twice a day. You can eat anything you want, anytime you want. Food is great, dami yatang pinoy chefs doon. We even had room service in the wee hours of the morning. They have babysitting services too. It's free until 10 PM, afterwards, it's only $10/hour for both our kids. Hubby and I partied all night na para bang nakatira ng energy pills. They have several activities for everyone. May comedy shows, may musical (Pinoy ang lead singer), may karaoke, may games, at kung anik anik pa. We went to the casino and lost a few hundred dollars of our mad money. The only thing we didn't do is drink alcohol and party with the singles hehe.

It was a very positive experience. Highly recommended ito mga friends!!

Good riddance

The t's are crossed and the i's dotted. Our Georgia home is no longer ours. The buyer, an investor, got a really good deal. The asking price was slashed $15K to his delight. Everything that's needed to be fixed, from the exterior to the little leak in the bathroom, to the light fixtures were fixed. We also gave him a huge allowance for closing cost. It can't get any better than that.

As for us, we're just happy to have gotten rid of the property at a profit in this very unstable housing market. It's one less thing for us to think about.
