Live and Let Live
Hubby and I had a great time watching Mistletoe Jam 08 at the Stranahan theater featuring American Idol season 3 winner Fantasia Barrino, R&B singer Avant, stand-up comedians Special K and Rickey Smiley. We got front row seating (courtersy of the Army). Too bad the camera we brought had very little memory in it and the flash quit working. darn! Here's a little excerpt from the show. I was right in front her face when I took this video.....(sorry it's sideways, I didn't know I woulnd't be able to edit it afterwards if I used the video mode). Anyway, one thing that struck me is how down-to-earth she was. She wasn't afraid to be in the crowd. She engaged everyone in the audience. She didn't have any make-up on, she was wearing rather simple clothing, and she's much smaller than I thought. There was no trace of any DIVA attitude, she took her shoes off on stage so she can get the party kicking. I couldn't count in my fingers the many times she Thanked the Lord for being there, and being able to do what she loves (she had a tumor in her throat).
2 winter storms in a week. That's what we had to deal with on this side of the planet. The first storm hit around 4PM Wednesday. It brought about 3 inches of snow and wasn't really that bad. Hubby used his brand new 2-stage snow blower with such gusto, the snow on our driveway was gone in a few minutes. Then another storm hit us Thursday night going into Friday. Now, this one is the bad boy. We had what storm trackers call a wintry mix, that is a mix of snow and freezing rain. The snow is not really that bad, my 4-wheel drive can handle that, but the freezing rain?? My oh my! I had a fun time driving on the very slick roads. The rain turned into ice as soon as it hit the pavement. What a mess! This is the time when I wish I had looked into las vegas hotel reservations. Good thing the city of Toledo was prepared for things like these. There wasn't a lot of accidents because the road crew worked 24/7. My tax dollars at work!
What would you do if you found out your husband is having an affair with your bestfriend?? The man you loved and cared for for 13 years and the bestfriend whom you've treated like a real sister. Would you be devastated? I'm sure. Would you fight for your marriage? Perhaps. Would you kick the mistress' ASS as well as your husband's? You should. That's what "My Husband's Woman", a Korean telenovela (dubbed in Tagalog), is about. I'm so freakin' addicted to it right now. Thanks to the uploader (Mr. Maginoo) at pinoychannel.com, I get to watch the telenovela every night after work. Currently on episode 9 (out of 24).
Official move date to our new office is the 15th of December. Our last day in the old office is the 12th. Everyone's busy preparing for the move. Next weekend will be truly hectic for everyone except moi because my whole family will be in Columbus, Ohio for the annual Cleveland recruiting battalion military gala. Which reminds me, I still don't have a DRESS to wear!!!!!!!!!! arggghhhh
It's aggravating. Really really really annoying. I mean, I'm no longer a teenager, but why in the heck am I still getting these yucky ZITS?? It's not as bad as it used to be in my teen years but still.... I think I should be pass this stage by now. I do take care of my skin. I exfoliate regulary, I use mild products, and I don't use too much make-up. Having naturally oily skin though doesn't help. I've tried many anti-acne products before that they only made my skin dry. Maybe it's time I use Zyporex to zap these zits away!
