Snow Storm

We had the granddaddy of all winter storms yesterday. Schools were closed, as the snow emergency alert rose up to level 2. The total accumulation was 8.8". Thank God Steven's preschool was open, or I would have stayed home too. Darn. I take that back. It should have been closed. hehe.

I bet you are very excited about this new addition to your family, I can tell by the baby clothes galore that now fill your closet. Relax, they grow up so fast. I know you guys waited soooooooo long, and prayed hard for this. I'm glad you guys never gave up. She is the answer to your prayers! I can't wait to see you guys, and hold her in my arms. Give her lots of hugs and kisses from us! Love yah guys!

Magkasama kaming tumakas sa lugar na iyon. Sa aming pagtakas ay madami kaming mga kaaway na nakasalubong, subalit hindi nila ako nakikita. Beer Pong

Growing up, I've become quite familiar with ping pong. We had a ping pong table at the family compound we lived in and pingpong became the favorite past time of the whole clan. Mom was very good at it, and she beat most, if not all of her brothers in the game.

Anyway, through the years, ping pong has evolved. One of the most popular version nowadays is the so called beer pong. I've seen a beer pong table online and it doesn't look anything like the pingpong table. I bet it's not even played the same way.

Beer pong (also called Beirut, Ruit, Lob pong and other names) is a drinking game in which players throw a ping pong ball across a table with the intent of landing the ball in one of several cups of beer on the other end.

A-ha! So the only thing that connects the two games is the use of ping pong balls. Duh!

Ready for Spring

Finally went ahead and bought this swing set for the kids. We found it at ToysRUs in Toledo. It's not as expensive as the "gorilla" brand we've seen (they go from $1200 up), but I'm quite confident this one will do the job just the same. The kids will spend a lot of time outside when the weather warms up for sure.

We also bought easter baskets for the kids. Steven's basket has a T-ball set, plastic golf set, and magnifying glasses for detective missions. Lexi's basket is all about HSM2, of course.

Hay puso

Una sa lahat, isang makabagbag-damdaming "HAPPY VALENTINE's DAY" sa inyong lahat. Huli man daw at magaling, huli pa rin. I wanted to greet you all yesterday (when it was timely) but I was so pooped out, well, I still am. I'm just always tired and coffee ain't helping anymore.

Anyway, going back to V day, I have such a hard headed husband!!! In the days before V day, I specifically instructed him NOT TO GET ME ANYTHING. Yeah, call me the anti-V day, but I just don't see anything special about hearts day. I mean, it's uberly commercialized nowadays that it has lost it's meaning (to me, at least). It's just a way for businesses to charge more than double what they should be charging. And it's also a big pressure for the hubbies/BFs to come up with something really special for the significant other, in short, sakit ng ulo.

Anyway, at the office yesterday, a bouquet of lovely flowers was delivered to me. While my co-workers were all gushing "how sweetttttt", I wanted to bury my head in shame. I was embarrassed. I never liked being the center of attention. Talaga naman! After telling him NOT TO, nag effort pa rin!

Gender Gap

I've wrote about my lady boss who gave up her position so she can stay home with her kids. She came by the office the other day and she was a picture of happiness. She truly enjoys the time she spends with her kids now, and she gloats on her new title, "the Domestic Goddess". Good for her! I'm glad she found her domestic bliss.

My new boss, on the other hand, is a GUY. Not just any guy, but a COOL GUY. A Mizuno golf guy who is not afraid to sing out loud and act goofy in front of all of us. He is very easy to get along with, sees the big picture and is not constantly breathing down your neck. I can say the office' atmosphere is very relaxed.

Needless to say, when it comes to bosses, I have my bias. I kind of lean towards having a man boss than a lady boss. I find it less complicated dealing with a guy. I don't have to deal with mood swings and PMS attack. I have enough of that at home from me, myself and I.

Diet

I used to not have a hard time losing weight. I can gain a pound or two (even more) and get rid of it at a snap of the finger. But I'm finding it more and more difficult to shed the extra pounds as I age. I don't know if it's just my metabolism slowing down of the fact that I lack discipline when in comes to diet and exercise. I've thought about taking diet pills, dubbed Miracle burn promoting a fast, safe, and effective way to burn those stubborn fats/calories. But I need to consult with my physician first. I need to make sure I do things right to achive what I want without putting my health at risk.

V day

Oh my gosh, time is flying by so fast, I was stunned when I realized Valentine's day is just a week away!! That means hubby's been home from Iraq almost a year now (he came back Valentine's day last year, such a lovely present!). And that also means I need to hurry up and get the absolute perfect valentines day gifts for my loved ones. See, we have to include the kids now too. They are our Valentine, after all. The sweetest little things on earth!

Ordered this vacuum (Dyson DC14 Bronze). I read the reviews and I'm quite impressed. Original price was $499, on sale for $399. I searched for online coupon and found a 20% coupon code. I ended up paying $319. And because I bought it from AAFES (PX), I pay no tax and shipping is free! SWEET!!!!

I can finally put the old vacuum to rest. It doesn't do a good job anyway, total waste of money! That's what I get for being stingy in the first place. I thought I was saving ourselves money by buying an inexpensive brand but I ended up spending more because the one I got is useless!

Can you believe I am actually excited over a vacuum cleaner?? I hope it works as good as the Vorwerk vacuum I had in Germany. Suck it up, buster! hahahaha. By the way, this is NOT a sponsored post.
